Straight there by air

Make Del Bajío International Airport (BJX) your flight destination. Connections typically go through Dallas, Atlanta, or CDMX. SMA is 90 minutes from the airport. Schedule morning arrivals (before or around 11 am) to support shuttle coordination.

Mexico City (CDMX) is a cultural mecca. It's a city that has to be visited – at least once – and it's John's place of birth. Spend time in this city and take the bus (4hrs) to SMA or a private car transfer (3hrs).

Yes, you'll be in SMA to celebrate us but we also want you to feel like you're on vacation. San Miguel de Allende is a quaint and romantic Mexican city, with so much to offer. Known for it's baroque stylings and artistic culture, the city has a lot to offer.

Admire the pink stone church in the city center, go to the botanical gardens, enjoy the numerous art galleries, and spend time walking through local markets. Or if you're like us, sit for hours in central park with a glass of wine and watch the world go by.

Good eats are endless here. A few of our favorites for breakfast include Lavanda Café, Inside Cafe, and Raices. Can't go wrong for dinner but this list had a few of our go-to yummy spots. For great rooftop cocktails, here are some quality bars that come with a view.

SMA is in the high desert of México. Bring a sun hat and prepare for fun. Enjoy the local wine country, visit Mayan baths, enjoy mezcal and wine tastings, spend half a day horseback riding, enjoy a sunrise hot air balloon ride, or simply go to the many wonderful boutique shops in the city.
